The Paintings and Monotypes of Jane Wilson

My abstract paintings and monotypes represent my reactions to earthly landscapes, cosmological imagery, microscopic life and may include realistic elements or collage. I use vibrant color and work to achieve a sense of depth and complexity with multiple layers of paint and varied texture.

My representational paintings have a strong sense of realism with intimate portrayals of flowers and other botanicals. In my Cow Series you see replicas of famous paintings in which bovines replace people and are given human expression.
